Mariam Ruth Rice, 40 of Bartlesville passed Friday October 19 2012. Mariam was born in Guthrie Okla., on June 20 1972 to William Guy Hagar and Eva Jean Edwards Hagar. Mariam was united in marriage to Brian Rice June 22, 2003 and he survives.
Mariam was an entrepreneur, starting a rental business, a jewelry business, and several others, She worked in Banking, Title, and Hotel Management. Mariam was active with her childrens schooling, and loved her children very much, she never knew a stranger and was very giving to others she felt needed her help. She was creative, and it showed in her homes decorating and her handmade jewelry. She loved flowers, she always had nice flower beds, and she loved entertaining at her home.
Mariam was preceded in death by one brother Robert James.
Surviving are Mariams’ husband Brian Rice. Daughter Ziva Cooper and her husband Clay and daughter Sophia, of Ochelata. Daughter Jessica King and her husband Jonathan and son Daneyl of Bartlesville. Daughter Megan Kennedy , Son Zachary Kennedy, and Daughter Brooke Rice of the home.
Also surviving are Mariam’s father William Guy Hagar Guthrie, mother Eva Faucette and her husband Raymond of Yale, Sister Cappy Harris & her husband Steve Cassville, MO. Brother William Scot Hagar and his wife Darla Kay of Guthrie, Sister ReBecca Goad and her husband Lee of Denton Texas, Brother Samuel Hagar and his wife Erica of Guthrie Okla. Mariam is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday at 10:00 A.M. Oct. 25th at the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel in Bartlesville, Oklahoma with Rev. Dan Dennison of the First Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville.
