Steven Rodney Moorman

Steven Rodney Moorman, 57, passed away after a battle with illness on Monday, March 11, 2013. Family will greet friends at Strode Funeral Home 6 to 8  p.m. Frida. Funeral services will be held at the Coyle First Christian Church in Coyle at 2 p.m. Saturday. Rev. John Pryor will officiate.

The family invites everyone to join them for fellowship in the Fellowship Hall prior to the service. Interment will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Steve was born in Stillwater on Sept. 8, 1955, to Alvis Tilton Moorman and Audrie Elizabeth Lamb. He attended school in Coyle until graduating from Coyle High School. On Jan. 23, 1988, he married Laura Renee Blankley in Coyle and have been together for 25 years. After graduation he worked as a carpenter in the construction industry. He enjoyed carpentry, riding his motorcycle, hunting and fishing, but most especially he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Alvis and Audrie Moorman; his sister, Lois Carrier; and his brother, Clarence Moorman

He is survived by his wife, Laura Moorman; his son, Jacob Moorman and fiancé, Terri-Lynn Krick of Perkins; daughter, Jessica and husband, James Byram; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Don and Abigail LeeAnn Byram; sister, Thelma and husband, Kenneth Higgins; three brothers, Lloyd and wife, Judy Moorman; Garrell and wife, Janet Moorman; and Marvin and wife, Laura Moorman; sister-in-law, Suzanne Moorman; brother-in-law, Lawrence Carrier; and numerous other family members.
