Richard C. Naeve, 71, of Clinton, Iowa, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, from a courageous battle with cancer. According to his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Richard was born on Sept. 16, 1941, in Clinton, the son of Orin and Ella (Kruse) Naeve Sr. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1959. Richard married Sherri Burkert on May 19, 1984. He worked as a supervisor at International Paper for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
Richard is survived by his wife, Sherri, of Clinton; three children, Deyenna (Carl) D’Ambrose of Lake Villa, Ill., Denise (Brian) Schimmer of Appleton, Wis., and Dillon Naeve of Clinton; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Orin (Sheryl) Naeve Jr. of Stillwater, and Donald (Sue) Naeve of Sabula, Iowa; and his brother-in-law, Louie (Terry) Burkert of Clinton.
