STILLWATER, Okla. — A celebration of life for Genieve E. Hall will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.

Genieve was the eldest child of David and Oma Rush, born Nov. 24, 1936 in Tryon, Okla. She married the love of her life, Gene Hall, on January 31, 1955 in Stillwater, Okla.

She was a member of the Perkins First Baptist Church where she was baptized at the age of 13.

Genieve had a tremendous love for her family and friends. She loved the outdoors, gardening, flowers, and Christmas was her favorite season for decorating. Her passion was to watch every ballgame, track meet, or any sport that her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren participated in.

Throughout the years, Genieve and Gene farmed, raised and showed registered Ayrshire dairy cattle from their family farm, and were charter members of the Perkins Round-Up Club. She was a devoted hard-working farmer’s wife and assisted her husband in whatever chores needed to be done.  Whether it was milking cows, feeding baby calves, or delivering meals to the field, Genieve and Gene were always working hard side by side.

Genieve is survived by her husband, Gene, one daughter, Imogene Stanford and her husband, Troy; three sons, David and his wife, Sandy, Kenny and his wife, Karen, and Junior and life partner, Patrick; and a young man they always thought  of as a son, Shelby Clinton; two brothers, J.B. Rush and Phillip Rush and his wife, Anita. She adored and was so proud of her seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Bertie B. Craycraft.
