Kathryn Dorothy Williamson, 89, passed away in Salina, Kan. on Oct. 20, 2012. The family will have a visitation from 7:00 to 9:00pm on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at Strode Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012 at Glencoe Cemetery South in Glencoe, Okla.  Norman Richmond will preside. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Katy was born on May 28, 1923 on the family farm in Glencoe, Okla. to Joe and Josie (Kovar) Jafek. She grew up on the farm attending and graduating from Eureka School.  After graduation, she married Jarome Williamson in Stillwater, Okla. on Nov. 15, 1941and began a family together. She made a home for the couple and their four children, Helen, Eugene, Donald, and Eddie. They lived in Cleveland, Blackwell, Claremore, and Sapulpa, until Jarome retired and they returned to the Stillwater area. Jarome passed away in 1994 after more than 52 years of marriage. In 2010, she moved to Salina, Kan.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jarome Williamson; her parents, Joe and Josie Jafek; and her son, Eugene Williamson; her brother, Lester Jafek; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

She is survived by her daughter, Helen Wilson and husband, Duane, of Tulsa, Okla.; two sons, Donald Williamson and wife, Carrie, of Canton, Ill. and Eddie Williamson and wife, Lynette, of Salina, Kan.; her daughter-in-law, Joan Williamson of Skiatook, Okla.; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and  great great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
