Robert M. Schenandoah, 84, an Oneida Tribal Member of Wis., died on Aug. 28, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Okla. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012 at White Cloud Building, 4 miles S. Hwy 177 to the Iowa Tribal Complex- 3rd Building on the left. Interment will follow at the Iowa Tribal Cemetery in Perkins, Okla. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born on Dec. 29, 1927 to McKenzie Schenandoah and Emma Skenandore in Neenah, Wis. He was an educator and an avid photographer. He was an excellent pianist and was a driving instructor to many.
He is preceded in death by his mother; father; daughter, Amie Schenandoah; former wife, Virginia; and sisters, Mildred Schenandoah Davis( J. Howard Davis), Ada Schenandoah Russell (Roger W. Russell), and Hilda Schenandoah; and baby, Ethel Schenandoah.
He is survived by his niece, Joan K. Neville (Lambert E. Williams); grandnieces, Kathy Glick, Lucy Neville, Caroline Neville; and one grand nephew, Patrick Neville. He is also survived by his best friend, Billie Lincoln-Mauldin, and George Dufield his friend of 70 years, as well as several other dear friends.
