Bobby Leroy Beavers

Bobby Leroy Beavers was born on May 12, 1932 in Maramec, Okla., to Robert Charles Beavers and Mary Scedella Martin Beavers.  He passed from this life on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 in Glencoe, Okla., having reached the age of 80 years, five months, and 27 days. He graduated from Maramec High School in 1950, and graduated from Oklahoma A & M with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1953.   On June 3, 1953 he married Loretta Mae Tyson in his parents’ home in Maramec, and they have lived in Pawnee, Yale, Stroud, Jennings and Yale before establishing their home in Glencoe in the fall of 1972.   He was a self-employed truck driver, and was a member of the Glencoe First Baptist Church.

 Bobby is survived by: Wife:   Loretta Beavers,    Glencoe, Okla.; Sister:  Rhea Grote, Stillwater, Okla.; Daughter: Diane Allen & her husband, Billy Don, Glencoe, Okla.; Two Sons: Ken Beavers, Glencoe, Okla., Rick Beavers & his wife, Cindy, Glencoe, Okla.; Grandchildren:  Heather Hancock & her husband, Jeff, San Antonio, Texas, Matthew Brewer & his wife, Kerri, Stillwater, Okla., Dustin Allen, Dallas, Texas, Tessa Beavers, Stillwater, Okla., Sarah Beavers, Glencoe, Okla., Casey Beavers, Stillwater, Okla.; Great Grandchildren:  Kaylie, Allyson and Dylan Hancock, San Antonio, Texas, Presley and Paige Brewer, Stillwater, Okla., Nola Beavers, Glencoe, Okla.

Plus a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

  Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Robert Beavers.

  Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 at the First Baptist Church, Glencoe, Okla., with Rev. Irvin Haken and Rev. Dale Gowdy officiating.  Interment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Maramec, Okla., under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, Okla.
