Lucille Dorene Parker was born in Stroud, on Dec. 2, 1914, and departed this life in Tulsa on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at the age of 98 years.

Lucille was the daughter of Claude Cleveland and Clara Effie (Aughenbaugh) Hopewell. She was a resident of Yale, since 1962 moving from Stroud.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Yale, and a homemaker. She loved to volunteer at the church nursery and at the senior citizen in Yale. Lucille married Gerald Parker and he preceded her in death February 1966. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers.

Survivors include: two sons: Albert Parker of Yale, James Parks and wife Donetta of Yale; two daughters: Clara Welch and husband Paul of Yale and Betty Parker of Yale; four grandchildren: Ginger Welch and Forrest Britton, Johnny amd Amanda Welch, Seth-Tash Parker, Arron Kimbel; two great-grandchildren:Addy Welch-Britton, Konner Kimbel, Others relatives and friends

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Parks Brothers Chapel with Bro. Mike Dershem officiating. Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
