Ernest Cullen Pace, 77, died on Jan. 18, 2013, in Ripley. His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater. with Ann McKnight officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ernest was born on Jan. 29, 1935, in Ripley to John Pleasant and Pearl Mae (Lockard) Pace. He attended Ripley High School in the early 1950’s, and married Millie Rose Stollings soon afterward.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, one son, and two daughters.
He is survived by his wife, Millie Pace; son, Scott Pace; son, Russ Pace; daughter, Denita Bailey; five grandchildren, Mason Pace, Olivia Pace, Jason Kerby, Jennifer Cyphers, and Jaime Kerby; and four great-grandchildren, Avery Cyphers, Kallon Cyphers, Desmond McCoy, and Teagun McCoy.
Pallbearers will include Tom Pace, Jim Sullivan, Brook Ballinger, Rob Andrew, Charlie Holeman, and Shawn Jones.
