William Curtis Wilson, a longtime Yale resident, passed away following a lengthy heart surgery on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, in the Hillcrest Heart Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 66 years.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Yale, and will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday in the First Assembly of God, Yale, with Pastor Randell Newby officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawson Cemetery, Yale.

The son of John Jessie Wilson and Geneva Alice (Thurman) Wilson, Curtis was born on July 2, 1946, in Yale.

In his spare time, Curtis loved to go fishing and camping and especially working in the greenhouse with his mother.  He always enjoyed his time with her and would always put her care before anything else in his life.  Curtis also enjoyed making flower beds and growing vegetable gardens.

Curtis loved spending time with his church family at the Yale Assembly of God.  He will be remembered as a very devoted and caring man and he will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy (McKnight)    Wilson of the home; mother, Geneva Wilson of Yale; two sisters, Barbara Pace and Betty McKnight of Stillwater; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Curtis was preceded in death by his father, Jessie    Wilson; one brother, Thurman Wilson; and one sister, Lois Walton.
