Larry Dale Cole, 61, died on Monday, January 21, 2013 in Stillwater, Okla. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 at Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater, Okla. His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 at the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Stigler, Oklahoma with    Reverend Tommy Brown    officiating. Interment will follow at Stigler Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Larry was born on Nov. 1, 1951 in Bakersfield, Calif., to Loren Lester and Pearl S. (Thompson) Cole. He graduated from Stigler High School in Stigler, then Eastern Oklahoma State College where he earned his Associate’s degree before going on to attend the college of Continuing Education in Tulsa. He owned and operated a paintless dent repair company. Prior to starting his business, Larry was a police officer with the Tulsa        Police Department as well as an agent in the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.  

Larry was in the Army National Guard for six years and received an honorable discharge as a Sergeant E 5 in 1976.

He is preceded in death by his father, Loren Cole, and his mother, Pearl Cole.

He is survived by his wife, LuAnn (Simpson) Cole, and his sister, Jean (Cole) Hays.

Pallbearers will include Eddie Ary, Jimmy Harrell, Terry Ary, Larry Simpson, Chris Simpson, Jerry Simpson and Robert Simpson. Butch Hitchcock will be an Honorary Pallbearer.
