Alene Augustina Fassnacht

Alene Augustina Fassnacht, of Stillwater, passed away at the age of 91 on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012. Funeral services will be held at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012. Interment will follow at Grace Hill Memorial Cemetery in Perry, OK.

Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Alene was born near Casey, OK on October 21, 1920 to Fred William Dorl and Rose Celia Zmotony Dorl. She attended school at Pawnee and Prairie View School in Pawnee County, Belford School in Morrison, and graduated from Sumner High School. She completed some business courses and worked as a clerk, business manager and auditor as well as a homemaker. She married her husband, Archie Leroy Fassnacht in Perry, OK on July 19, 1940. They resided in Stillwater, OK.

She was a Deacon at the 1st Christian Church in Stillwater, OK where she was a member of the Church Circle and taught Sunday School.

She was a Cub Scout Den Mother for 7 years and a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Degree of Honor where she held state and national offices and the Sewing Club.

Alene was preceded in death by her parents, William and Rose Dorl; son, Francis Eugene Fassnacht, four brothers, Wilbur Lee, Dwayne Carl, Dale John, and Edward Dorl; her sister, Nadine Williams; and one grandson, Michael Shawn Fassnacht.

She is survived by her husband, Archie Fassnacht of Stillwater, OK; her son Michael Leroy Fassnacht and his wife, Pamela of Perry, OK; one brother, Jack Eugene Dorl and his wife, Mary Ann, of Perry, OK; three grandsons, Jonathon Duke Fassnacht and his wife, Beth, of Pawnee, OK and Samuel David Fassnacht and his wife, Deanna, of Perry, OK, Bryan Eugene Fassnacht of Las Vegas, NV; one granddaughter, Kimberly Ruth Fassnacht-Bixler and her husband, Gene, of Stillwater, OK; and great grandchildren Tylor Huffman and Harley Vaughan Fassnacht of Pawnee, OK, Ale and Bryan Fassnacht of Las Vegas, NV, and Kelsea and Kaylea Bixler of Stillwater, OK.
