Mildred Marie Marrs was born on Oct. 26, 1915 in Watts, Okla. to Wirt Cannon and Dell McClung Cannon.  She passed from this life on Monday, August 6, 2012 in Pawnee, Okla. having reached the age of 96 years, 9 months, and 10 days.  She has lived most of her life in Glencoe, and was a member of the Glencoe Church of Christ Church.  She was married to Melvin Matlock from 1933 until he preceded her in death on 1948, and they had four children.  She was married to Jim McLaughlin from 1950 until his death in 1970, and then married Joe Marrs.  She was a cook at Glencoe Public Schools until her retirement in 1980.  She loved her family, gardening, and hosting holidays.

Mildred is survived by: Daughters: Carroll Moore & her husband, George, Pawnee, Okla., Willene Robinson & her husband, Ervin, Collinsville, Okla., Nancy Hancock & her husband Myron, Hayden, Alabam Son:     Ted Matlock & his wife, Donna, Prue, Okla., 9 Grandchildren, Plus numerous great and great-great grandchildren, other relatives, and many friends.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012 at Glencoe Cemetery, Glencoe, Okla.  Arrangements are being handled by Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, Okla.
