Cecil George Metcalf Jr, 85, passed away Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014. He was born April 11, 1928, in Morrison, to Cecil George Metcalf Sr. and Bertha L. Mitchell Metcalf. He worked at Oklahoma State University, Boeing, McConnell, was a civil service employee at Strotherfield, a licensed water well driller in Kansas and Texas and a sportsman.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edna Jo Buntin Metcalf; son, John Cecil Metcalf; and brother, Teddy Gordon Metcalf.
He is survived by his daughter, Martha Habluetzel (David) of Ingleside, Texas; brothers, Aubrey Metcalf Jr. (Ann) of Catoosa, Sampson L. Metcalf of Stillwater; sister, Linda Metcalf Sewell of Pawnee; three grandchildren, Michael Deyo (Emel) of Aransas Pass, Texas, Matthew Deyo (Marina) of Austin, Texas, Alicia Halle (Kyle) of San Antonio, Texas; eight great-grandchildren, Shelby Jo Deyo, Katlyn Deyo, Madison Deyo, Michael Deyo Jr., Jordan Deyo, Aurora Deyo, Allison Halle, and Meagan Halle. Funeral service conducted by Rev. Kelli Williamson was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, Aransas Pass. Funeral service conducted by Pastor Russell Hughes will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at Hill Country Baptist Church in Morrison.
