Ronald Max Clary

Max Clary, 75, died Friday, Dec. 14th, 2012.  Services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday at Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater. Graveside services at Perkins Cemetery will immediately follow.

Max was born Dec. 5, 1937, in Ripley to Carl Jack Clary and Beula Pauline (Inmire) Clary. He married Ina Faye Boyd in 1956 and together they had five children — Beverly Jo, Donnie Dale, Roberta Rae, Dennis David, and Lorna Lee.  They later divorced. Max then married Sharon Nell (Montgomery) Evans in 1966.

Max served in the National Guard reserves, retired from the Stillwater Fire Department as assistant chief in 1979, drove a truck for several trucking companies, and worked several years for Perkins-Tryon public schools.

His hobbies were traveling, fishing, attending the P-T football games and being a “handy man” for his family.

He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, and his brother William (Bill) Clary.

He is survived by his children Beverly Tackett and her husband Bill, Donnie Clary and his wife Vivian, Roberta Clary, Dennis Clary and his wife Michelle, Lorna Miller and her husband Troy;  three step daughters Sharon O’Leary and her husband Mike, Leslie Evans, and T.J. Abbott; two sisters Dessie Clark and Glenna Huff; and 15 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Clary, Dakota Evans, Ben Van Ness, Roy Clark, Dale Clark, and Lyle Clark.  Honorary pallbearers are Michael O’Leary, Mitchell Chandler and Jeff Huff.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Companion Hospice, 1261 E. 33rd Street, Edmond, OK  73013.
