— Mabel Rae Allen, 94, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Jan. 16, 2014. She was born March 2, 1919, in Paden, to John and Cordelia (Mayfield) Stubblefield.

She married Otis Allen, Dec. 29, 1938, and they began farming in Lincoln County, raising cattle. In the 1980’s, they purchased and operated a catfish farm. People came from all around the area to fish and relax, creating lifetime memories for children and adults. Mabel was a hard working lady, portraying the true Pioneer Woman spirit of Oklahoma.

She was a longtime member of First Assembly of God, Stroud, and Cushing. After 62 years of marriage, Otis passed away in 2000. In 2003, she moved to Oklahoma City to share a home by a small lake with her daughter, Carolyn.

She and Carolyn enjoyed their time together, even traveling to Hawaii, California, Idaho and Missouri. Carolyn’s friends became Mabel’s friends and she was dearly loved by all.

Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, six sisters, daughter, Patricia Ann Hart and son, Charles Otis Allen. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Siegfried of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Anthony, Kari, Randy and Rebecca; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Assembly of God Church, Stroud, with David Plank officiating. Interment: Stroud Cemetery.

She was ready to go home to be with her Mom and Dad, her husband, son and daughter. She is dancing on streets of gold and having a sweet reunion with her family and friends. To share a memory or condolence, visit
