— Helen Corene Petermann, 85, passed away Jan. 20, 2014, in Stillwater. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater with Pastor Ron Keeling officiating. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Helen was born on Sept. 20, 1928, to William Harvey and Laura (Cain) Alexander in Washington County. She married Alfred Lee Petermann on July 19, 1949, in Bartlesville. She was an active member of TOPS for the past 44 years and was able to keep her weight off for 35 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Laura Alexander; sisters, Lois Gammie and Lenora Whitechurch; brothers, Paul Alexander and William Harvey Jr. Alexander.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Alfred Lee Petermann; sons, David Lee Petermann and wife Jean,  Kenneth Eugene Petermann and wife Tammy, both of Stillwater; grandchildren, Scott Alan Petermann, Shelley Lynn Taylor, and Kendra Diane Petermann, all of Stillwater; three great grandsons and one great-granddaughter; and brothers, Hugh Alexander and wife Tode of Pawhuska, Wallace Gene Alexander and wife Mimi, of Claremore and Melvin Duane Alexander and wife Liz, of Bartlesville. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
