— Dorothy Lorene White, 70, went to live with the Father of Light on Jan. 26. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Antioch Baptist Church in Duncan, with Rev. Ronald Boyd officiating. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born Dorothy Lorene Phillips to Jim and Irene (Hill) Phillips on June 20, 1943, in Ryan. Fondly called Sgt. White by many, Dorothy was named Most Professional Jailer in the State of Oklahoma in 2003. She loved working with the prisoners and had a special heart for it. She was highly respected among the inmate populations she worked with. She spent the last 10 years of her life devoted to her family and many, many friends. She leaves behind most cherished siblings, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her wonderful dog, Sydney, and many, many friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband, Timothy Gaskill; a sister, Theresa (Adams) Freeman; and a grandson, Tye Anderson.

Dorothy leaves behind a brother, Lloyd (Paula) Phillips; two sisters, Linda Curtis and Lela Bradley; five children, Kathy (Gaskill) Anderson, Rick Gaskill, Angela Gaskill, Tracey (Sullivan) West, and Shannon Sullivan; 19 grandchildren, Andrew Flowers, DeMarr Greer, Brian Gaskill, Jahmar Sullivan, Timothy Flowers, Steven Gaskill, Tony Anderson, Dustin Sullivan, Joshua Sullivan, Dalton Sullivan, Kaleb Sullivan, Nicholas Anderson, Richard West, Sion Gaskill, Tabitha Greer, Takara (Flowers) Rodriguez, Tazia (Sullivan) Bailey, Shanna Sullivan, and Halie Sullivan; and 28 great-grandchildren.
