— Brandon Lane Hise, 44, died on Sunday, June 9, 2013. His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater with Pastor Phyllis Brown officiating. Interment will be at Resthaven Cemetery in Ponca City. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Brandon was born in Oklahoma City on Feb. 4, 1969, to Derald Dean Hise and Patricia Ann Avants. He attended school in Perkins growing up, and joined the U.S. Marine Corps and was there for Desert Shield and Desert Storm.  After Desert Storm, Brandon went to college and earned his Bachelor’s degree. He went on to become a police officer. He owned and operated a marina at Green Leaf Lake. Brandon was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and boating. He also loved coaching little league sports.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ann (Avants) Hise, and sister, Lori Pauline Hise.

He is survived by his father, Derald Dean Hise, and his wife, Cyndi; brother, Phillip Dean Hise; sister, Darena Dawn Turner; nieces and nephews, Megan Taylor, Andria Hise, Cameron Hise, Krista Cash Wheeler and Dakota Cheyenne Turner.

Pallbearers are Jim Brown, Carey Chitwood, Shawn Mclemore and Rick Goforth

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association at 3000 United Founders Boulevard, #108, Oklahoma City, Okla., 73112.
