Rhoda Ruth Glazier

Rhoda Ruth Glazier, 91, died on Nov. 27, 2012 in Stillwater, Okla.  A memorial service will be held in her honor at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at the Salem Lutheran Church with The Reverend Sally Houck officiating. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Rhoda was born on April 26, 1921, to Morris and Anna (Grossman) Broida in St. Louis, Mo.  She attended Dozier Elementary School in St. Louis and graduated from Soldan High School in St. Louis. Rhoda went on to attend Washington University in St. Louis.  Rhoda received laboratory training at City Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., as well.  

She married Robert H. Glazier on Nov. 15, 1945, in Watsonville, Calif.  Rhoda and Robert moved to Stillwater in 1960. She was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church.   

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents, Morris and Anna Broida; brothers, Earl, Harry, and Sam Broida; sisters, Mildred Hechtman, Thelma Sandler, Celia Davidson, and Minnie Heuberger; and son-in-law, Jerry Hiatt.   

Mrs. Glazier is survived by her children: Bobbi Hiatt of Arlington, Texas, Maureen Perry, and her husband Greg, of Humble, Texas, Jacline (Jacque) Jones, and her husband Jeffery, of Stillwater, Okla, Terry Glazier, and his wife Shirley, of Northville, Mich., and Carolyn Hunsinger, and her husband Roger, of Stillwater, Okla.  She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Humane Society of Stillwater at 601 S. Washington PMB291, Stillwater, OK 74074, Stillwater Animal Shelter at 1710 S. Main St., Stillwater, OK 74074, or Salem Lutheran Church at 101 S. Duck St., Stillwater, OK 74074.
