— Services for Wanda “Pat” L. Olenberger were 11 a.m., Thursday at her church, Friendly Foyil Baptist; she was laid to rest beside her husband at Chelsea Cemetery. Pat passed away on Tues., Aug. 13, 2013. She was 89.

Born March 28, 1924, in Tulsa, to Henry and Golda (Stancoff) Bruce, Pat was reared and educated in her birth community. As a young woman she enjoyed skating at the local roller rink and this is how she met her future husband. On March 12, 1941, she married Fred R. Olenberger and the couple made Tulsa their home.  While Fred was serving his country during WWII, Pat worked at McDonnell Douglas. Later she worked with her husband in their upholstery shop, first in Tulsa and then in Bartlesville. In 1961 the couple moved to Foyil.

Family was the center of her life and she loved spending time with them. She was a wonderful cook and loved working in her yard.

Pat spent many an evening playing cards with family and friends and never missed an opportunity to shop for an item she could add to her fine memorabilia collection.

This mother, grandmother and friend will be missed by all that knew her. Those family members that survive include her children Fred Olenberger and wife Tonya of Stillwater, Joann Moore and husband Bob of Foyil and Eddie Olenberger and wife Jerriann, also of Stillwater; her 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 17 great great-grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred, granddaughters JoLynn and Molly Olenberger and her sister Juanita McGee.
