Harry Andres ”Andy” Robinson, Jr. died Palm Sunday, March 24, 2013, in the loving company of his church family at St. John’s Episcopal Church.
Born Jan. 22, 1939, in Tulsa, to Harry Andres Robinson and Frances Work Robinson, Andy graduated from Holdenville High School and received his BS degree in history and social sciences at Washburn University, Topeka, Kan.
After serving three years in the U.S. Army, Andy returned home to Holdenville, following his final assignment in Tokyo, Japan.
He was employed by the Department of Human Services as a social worker, taking post graduate work at the University of Oklahoma.
Later, Andy pursued his passion for landscaping in the School of Horticulture at Oklahoma State University. He moved to the Tulsa area and worked for several landscaping companies, serving clients with his professional expertise.
Andy had his own landscaping business for the past 40 years.
Andy is survived by twin sisters and their spouses; Carol and Andrew Smith, Houston, Texas, and Dana and Herb Huser, Fredericksburg, Va.
He was lovingly devoted to two nieces, two nephews, nine great nieces and nephews, and three cousins.
Andy will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
There will be a memorial service for Andy at St. John's Episcopal Church, Tulsa, at 1 p.m. April 20.
His internment will be in Stillwater at Fairlawn Cemetery at 5 p.m.
