Erwin (Buddy) Watson of Coyle passed away on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013. at age 64. Buddy was born on Aug. 10, 1948, in Snow, to parents Joe Odell Watson and Wanda Lucille Ballard Watson. Buddy was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Wayne Watson; two brothers, Donald Wayne and Kenneth Noel Watson; and one sister, Joyann Watson.

He is survived by one daughter, Stacey Lynn Watson Boutchiche, and husband, Abdel, of The Woodlands, Texas. Also, five sisters, Gleeda Faye Mick of Houston, Bobbie Jo and Jerry Barnes of Stillwater, Debra and Billie Hall of Stillwater, Sandra McCubbin of Stillwater, Billie Lawan and Paul Streit of Weatherford, and one brother J.W. and Angela Watson of Stillwater. Buddy was blessed with a large family to include numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Buddy was full of life and loved his dog, Jodie. He played music on his banjo, whom he lovingly named Shelly. Buddy was a member of the group Barn Stormers and even played music with Garth Brooks.

There will be a memorial service 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lost Creek Church in Stillwater. The family is asking for donations to be sent to Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater to the account of Erwin Watson in lieu of flowers.
