Martha Nell Sutton Holton

Martha Nell Sutton Holton went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, in Stillwater, at the age of 93. Martha Nell was born Nov.12, 1919, in Stockdale, Texas, to John and Lela (Beasley) Sutton. She graduated from Uvalde High School in 1936. Martha Nell married Ellsworth E. Holton April 2, 1940, in Uvalde, Texas. During WWII they lived in Tennesee, Wisconsi., and New Jersey. At the end of the war, Martha Nell, EE and daughter Lynda Joyce Holton (Dillwith) moved to San Antonio, Texas. The family also lived in Poteet and Kennedy before returning to San Antonio in 1950. EE passed away in 1996. In 2002 Martha Nell moved to live with Jack and Lynda in Stillwater.

Martha Nell is survived by daughter Lynda Dillwith, son-in-law Jack Dillwith, grandson Earl and wife Katrina Dillwith, niece Jan Dennis, sister-in-law Martha Townsend, and brother-in-law George Holton. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years; and infant daughter, Charlene Holton, in 1951.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to the church/charity of your choice or Judith Karman Hospice, Stillwater.

Services are under the direction of the Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, 3401 Cherry Ridge Drive, San Antonio. Public visitation is available from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. The funeral service is Friday, at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, 2735 Gibbs Sprawl Road, San Antonio.
