Loretta Mae Piguet

Services for Loretta Mae Piguet were 1:00 p.m., Wednesday Sept. 5, 2012 at Meadowview Baptist Church.  She was laid to rest beside her husband, Bob, at Timber Ridge Cemetery, Catoosa, under the direction of Rice Funeral Service. Loretta passed away at her home on Friday Aug. 31, 2012.  She was 77.

Loretta was born July 25, 1935 in Claremore to   Herman and Annabell (Busby) Allison.  She received her education here and married Bob J. Piguet on Labor Day weekend 60 years ago.  Two children blessed their union.

A career in the food service industry which spanned 25 years included positions of Food Production Manager at Bordens Cafeteria, Oklahoma State University, and Rolling Hills Country Club.  Loretta’s experience in  creating meals that were beautiful as well as delicious and doing it on a large scale provided family, friends and even campground neighbors with sumptuous feasts.   Afterwards, a rousing game of cards, Yahtzee or Skip-Bo rounded out the occasion. She was adept at recognizing and meeting the needs of others.  Bob and Loretta were active members of their Meadowview Baptist Church family and enjoyed the close, uplifting       friendships developed there.

Loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Loretta is survived by her daughters, Connie Davis and husband, Charles, of Claremore, and Jerri Taulman and husband, Dave, of Stillwater; grandchildren Shannon Ellerd and husband, Mark, of Depew, Okl., Jenny Davis of Claremore, Lindsay Cole and husband, Jason, of Oologah, Haley Culver and husband, Kyle, of Broken Arrow, Brian Taulman and wife, Lisa, of Yukon, Okla.,  and Daniel Taulman of Denver, Colo.; great grandchildren Taylor Ault, Avery and Makenna Cole, Lesleigh, Lane, and Logan Ellerd, and Maddox Taulman; her twin sister, Annetta Barkley and husband, Robert, of Wichita, Kan; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother
