Arthur Rosson, 84, passed away on March 11, 2013, in Stillwater. His graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Okfuskee Cemetery. Norman Richmond will officiate. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born on May 26, 1926, to Elige and Bessie (Lane) Rosson in Tuskegee. He married Golda Pearl Dodson on Sept. 16, 1947 in Okmulgee. They were married for 62 years until her death in 2009.
He worked in the oilfield, construction and moving houses. He worked for the city of Stillwater in traffic control from 1961 to 1988 until he retired after 27 years. He loved to fish, hunt and play with his miniature horses. He liked to go to rodeos, watch them on TV and western music.
He is preceded in death by parents, wife, four brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by sons, Wesley Rosson , (Sandy) of Perry; James Rosson of Enid; daughter, Pearl Heskett (husband) Jim of Perkins; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Parcher, Stillwater; Luke and Brigett Broyles ,Stillwater; Jessica and Will Foster, Perry; Lesley and Marc Listerman ,Perkins; Tommy and Rhonda Rosson, Perkins; David Rowden, Perry Short; and 10 great-grandchildren.
