He began playing the saxophone in sixth grade and was very active in his high school band programs as well as the Cowboy Marching Band and other band programs while at OSU.  He joined the Alpha Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi in 1985 and received many of the highest honors that the fraternity awards and was an inspiration to many of the members throughout the years.

Dale loved Stillwater and touched so many people through his work with Git-N-Gallup, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Stillwater on Ice. He served the national headquarters of Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma part time for several years tending to the general upkeep of the Stillwater Station and in 2012 became the national chapter and Colony Education coordinator.

Dale and his wife started Plan It Events in 2004 and helped coordinate several weddings in the community as well as being a talented certified balloon artist designing custom balloon décor for many OSU and community events.
