Tobitha “Mae” Sharp was born on Aug. 19, 1925 in Stillwater, Okla. to Charles and Della (Stanbrough) Boyce.  She went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012 in Stillwater, Okla., having reached the age of 86 years, 5 months, and 28 days.  Mae married William Eugene Sharp on June 29, 1941 in Stillwater, and they farmed and ranched in the Morrison area for a number of years before moving to Stillwater.  She was a full time homemaker and ranch hand with Bill when they were out checking cattle or doing ranch chores.  Mae and Bill were foster parents for a number of foster children.  She was a resident of the Renaissance Assisted Living in Stillwater at the time of her death, and loved her family dearly and delighted in spoiling each and every one of her grandchildren.  They all knew just where she kept the candy bowl filled with candy for them.  

Mae is survived by: Four children: Joyce and Bill Gazaway of Stillwater, Okla., Allen and Debby Sharp of Pawnee, Okla.,  Phyllis and Fred Tharp of Yale, Okla., and Sue and Carl Farrow of Cushing, Okla.  Plus numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Hilltop Country Church in Morrison, Okla. with Rev. Russell Hughes officiating.  Interment will be at the Highland Cemetery in Pawnee under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, Okla.
