— Juanita June Wyant, 64, passed away on Saturday Oct. 12, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater with the Pastor Joe Day officiating. Interment will be at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry. Arrangements are under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.

Juanita was born on Nov. 2, 1948, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Clarence Earl Brake and Violet Ann Gaither. She attended the Tryon Schools and went on to become a certified nursing assistant.

Juanita married Charles Lavern Wyant on Jan. 9, 1968, and they remained together until his death in 2003. She loved to play cards and games, enjoyed eating out with her family and sharing time with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Violet Brake, brother Vernon Brake and her husband Charles.

Juanita is survived by three sons, Greg Wyant and wife, Kris, of Alaska; Rodney Wyant and wife Tonya of Blackwell, and Eric Wyant of Perry; daughter, Stephanie Wyant of Morrison; four sisters, Margaret Rider, Bertha Mae Fisher and husband Jim, Nina Drake and husband Gary, and Donna Rashidifard and husband Hossein; three brothers, Donald Earl Brake and wife Janice, Charles Brake and wife Vicki, and Wilbur Brake and wife Debbie; and seven grandchildren, Talia Wyant, Brianna Wyant, Haley Wyant, Zelphia Hicks, Eric Wyant, Andrew Pettit, and Ashley Elliott.
