Memorial services for Douglas Duane “Doug” Rundle, 46, Baldwin City, Kan., will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 at Stillwater Life Church. He died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at his home.
Doug was born Jan. 15, 1967, in Perryton, Texas. He was the son of Larry and Elaine Rundle and the late Debi Hudson Dunkerson.
He had a bachelor’s degree in education and was attending Kansas City Kansas Community College.
He was an EMT and member of the Baldwin City Fire Department.
He served his country in the U.S. Army as a Sgt. First Class and was most recently a U.S. Army Career Counselor.
He married Raira Clark April 1, 2011, in Gardner, Kan. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Gracie Rundle and Kelsey Kelley, of the home; two sons, Matthew Rundle, Yukon, Kyle Kelley, of the home; one sister, Kitti Rundle, Port Charlotte, Fla.; and two brothers, Kelly Rundle, Dallas, Texas and Bobby Rundle, Mustang. He was preceded in death by his mother and one sister, Melissa Daun Rundle.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in Doug’s name to Wounded Warrior Project and may be sent in care of the Warren McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
