Andre Cortez White, 47, of Stillwater, passed from this life on Aug. 20, 2012.  Services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home and will be held in the funeral home chapel (5106 N. Washington) on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012 at 2:00 P.M.

 Andre was born on Aug. 20, 1965 to Claude Butler and Cleo Lane in Cushing, Okla.  He grew up in the area, graduating from Stillwater High School.  He attended the University of Central Oklahoma for two years before enlisting in the army in 1985.  He served his country for nearly 10 years, receiving his honorable discharge in 1994.  During his time in the service he married Lydia (Anderson) White on Aug. 4, 1989 in Ga.  Upon returning from the military he worked construction jobs until the time of his passing.  He will be remembered as an outgoing and fun-loving man.  He was also intellectually inclined and in his spare time enjoyed hanging out with his family and studying karate.

 Andre leaves a legacy behind in his family; father Claude Butler, mother Cleo Lane of Stillwater, wife Lydia Anderson White of Oklahoma City, seven children Ashley White of Houston, Mercedes White of Oklahoma City, Alliha White of Stillwater, Ashanti White of Stillwater, Dreshawn Smith of Stillwater, Otis Bruner and Joy Johnston; grandchildren Ashton Garrett and Peyton Robinett; siblings Julia Ridgeway of Perry, Marcus White of Chandler, and Shelia White of Oklahoma City, and devoted friend Katrina Parmony, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

 Andre was preceded in death by brother Robert Montez Williams.
