Sandra (Sandi) Kay (Dodson) Costello passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012. She was 65 years old. A celebration of her life will be held at the Coyle cemetery on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 9:00 am with Dr. David Chapman officiating and Natalie Scott sharing in song.
Sandi was born in Ponca City, Okla. on May 28, 1947 to Lewis and Laura (Barnes) Dodson. She graduated from Ponca City High School in 1965. Soon after high school she married Walter Sherrod and from that union came their daughters Suzette (Sherrod) Westerman and her husband David of Ponca City, Nicole Sherrod, Cami (Sherrod) Downey-Tyberg and her husband Scott Tyberg of Perkins, and a son Anthony Sherrod.
Sandi married John Costello July 4, 1980 in Eureka Springs, Ark. From that union came a daughter, Barbarina (Costello) Doolin and husband Michael of Coyle, three sons, Korde Costello of Coyle, Trestan Costello of Marland, and Joseph Costello.
Sandi's love of her life was her children, grandchildren, and her horses. She is survived by her husband John of the home, her sister Louisa (Dodson) Williams and husband Bruce of Ponca City, three daughters, two sons, and six grandchildren; Santana Venturino of Ponca City, Victoriea Downey of Perry, Noah Downey of Coyle, Grayce Downey of Perkins, Jaylah and Jaycie Doolin of Coyle.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her two sons Joseph and Anthony, and one daughter, Nicole.
