Ruby Maxine Blaha

Ruby Maxine Blaha, 77, died on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 in Oklahoma City. A memorial service will be held in her honor at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, Okla., with   Pastor Larry Eslinger officiating. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ruby was born in Wagoner, Okla., on Aug. 13, 1935 to Fred and Margaret Alice Francis (Cawood) Prater. She attended Grove High School, and later became a Nurse’s Aide. She married Millard Melvin Rhodes in Miami, Okla., on March 26, 1956.  They lovingly raised three children together, and enjoyed 23 years of marriage until his death on April 17, 1979. Ruby later remarried to Robert Blaha on January 9, 1989 in Galveston, Texas, but the marriage ended in divorce in 1996. She liked fishing with her family and playing poker.

She is preceded in death by her parents, twelve   brothers and sisters, and her first husband.

She is survived by her daughter, Susie Fulton, of  Stillwater, Okla.,; two sons, Melvin and Richard Rhodes, both of Biloxi, Miss.; and three grandchildren, David Lane, of Lawton, Okla., and Michael Fulton and Hailey Rhodes, both of Stillwater, Okla.
