Gwendolyn Lee “Penny” Smith, 75, died on March 4, 2013 in Tulsa. Her graveside service will be 3 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Stillwater. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on Aug. 9, 1937, to Chester Lee Bethel and Maggie Maydell Dyer in Dallas, Texas. She was self- employed.
She is survived by her husband, Charles D. Smith; son, Raymond L. Shields; daughters, Ranata K. Clark, Lucinda G. Jones; stepson, Charles Smith, Jr; stepdaughter, Cindy Lou Smith; brother, Ronald Bethel; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
