Edwin Melton March, 75, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 at the Southside Baptist Church in Stillwater, Okla. with Brother Joe Day officiating. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Edwin was born on Feb. 9, 1937 to Jacob Earl and Evelyn Ruth (Pearson) March in Choctaw, Okla. where he grew up and attended school. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. In 1964, Edwin married the love of his life, Evelyn Nadine Downey in Oklahoma City. They moved to Glencoe, Okla. in 1971 where they have since resided. He was a loving husband, great dad, bragging grandfather and great friend to all. He always had a smile in good times and in bad. He loved all his children and they loved him. He loved his lord and looked forward to getting to see him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Evelyn March; and his four brothers, Jacob Alfred, Richard Daniel, Kenneth Gerald, and David Fredrick March.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Evelyn Nadine March; three sons, Martin Earl, Darrell Lewis, and Daniel Leroy March; three sisters, Mary Magdalene Antone, Patricia Ann Mendes, and Carol Ruth; and his granddaughter, Tahni Erna.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Southside Baptist Church at 1223 S. Perkins Rd., Stillwater, OK 74074 or Judith Karman Hospice at P.O. Box 818, Stillwater, OK 74076.
