— David Morgan Goosman, Sr., 71, died on Thursday, July 4, 2013, in Glencoe. His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, at the First Baptist Church in Glencoe with Irvin Haken officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

David was born in Oct. 16, 1941, in Wheeling, W.Va., to the late Edgar Thomas and Clarice Maude (Polisky) Goosman. He graduated from Wellsburg High School in West Virginia before enlisting in the military in 1959. After he was honorably discharged in 1961, David pursued a career as a welder. On Aug. 22, 1959, he married Patricia June Leavitt in Colliers, W.Va. He was a member of the Glencoe First Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother; and daughter, Tammy Jean Wolfe.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia Goosman; son, David Morgan Goosman Jr., and his wife, Debbie; one sister; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will include Eric Kempf, Christopher Monahan, Edward Arriaga, Daryl Clark, Roger Monahan, and Greg Jones.
