Cheryl Kerr Sherbina

Cheryl Kerr Sherbina passed away Feb. 4, 2013, at age 56. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.

Cheryl was born to Robert and Bobbie Kerr and grew up in Norman along with her sister Teresa and her brother David.

Cheryl possessed a warm and generous heart. She loved to care for the young and the elderly. She had been a child-birth coach and taught deaf children at church. She worked as an ICU and home-health nurse. Most recently, she could be found working with the jail ministry Celebrate Recovery.

Cheryl was a creative person with a unique vision of the world. She loved music and was always humming or singing a song. She was a wonderful photographer, painter, potter and writer. Her children were her true passion. She was a fiercely devoted mother and grandmother. She was a one-of-a-kind woman who was dearly loved and she will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family.

She is survived by her parents, Robert and Bobbie Kerr; her sons Jason Garms, Josh Garms, and Sean Garms; her daughters Debbie Pierson, Rachelle McGuire and Leah Garms; her grandchildren Christian, Josie, Colin, Cara, Abigail, and Pharr’ell; her sister Teresa Whitlock, and her brother David Kerr.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted payable to the Memorial of Cheryl Kerr Sherbina. Please send all donations to the care of her daughter Rachelle McGuire at 1736 St. Anthony Dr. San Jose, CA 95125. Funds are used to cover the expenses of honoring her memory at the upcoming Memorial Service and any excessive funds will be donated to the jail ministry Celebrate Recovery.
