Betty Ann (Brown) Evans

Betty Ann (Brown) Evans, 83, died on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, Okla. with Norman Richmond officiating. A visitation will be held before the service from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Betty was born in Custer City, Okla. on April 4, 1929 to Wesley Parks and Emily Elva (Weiser) Brown. She graduated from Custer City High School in the late 1940’s. On June 2, 1947, she married Homer Carl Evans in Seaside, Calif. They lovingly raised three daughters, and enjoyed over 60 years of marriage before Homer’s death in 2008. Betty was a member of the Eastern Star as well as the First Methodist Church in Helena, Okla.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Parksine Gibbs; and brother, Ed Brown.

She is survived by her daughter, Carla Wilsey, and her husband, Doug; daughter, Diane Fenton, and her husband, Eddy; daughter, Janet Langdon, and her husband, Steve; eight grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; brother, Joe Dent Brown; and sister, Mildred Driver.

Pallbearers include Evan Fenton, Rusty Fenton, Clay Wilsey, David Howey, Danny Langdon and Matt Hamilton. Robin Williams, Brian Blagg and Mark Miller will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
