Clara E. Lewis, 91, passed away on Feb. 16, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Her funeral service will be at 2 pm, Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery. Reverend Elvin Mack will officiate. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Clara was born on Jan. 10, 1922 to Charley K Vitek and Lottie Jafek Vitek in Stillwater, Okla. She married Fred Clifton Lewis, Jr. on April 29, 1948 in Newkirk, Okla. They remained married until his death.

She enjoyed farming, painting, dancing, playing in her dad’s band, the Harmony Aces Band, and coconut pie.

Clara loved life, family, friends, and her canine best friend, Lala.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Lewis, Jr; parents, Charley and Lottie Vitek; brother, Robert Vitek; daughter, Linda Danhuser; and grandson, J.W. Frick.

She is survived by three sons, Fred C. Lewis III, and his wife, Debbie, of Ripley; Stephen R. Lewis and his wife, Emma, of Stillwater; William “Bill” J. Lewis of Oilton; daughter, Mary Ellen Lewis, of Guthrie; 12 grandchildren, Kristi and husband, Curtis, Stewart; Stacy Urbanowicz; Don Allen Curtis; Travis and wife, Rhea, Frick; Angie and husband, Kevin, Harting; Jessica and husband, Tim, Regan; Kelsi and husband, Lance, Blasier; Stephen Kody and wife, Chelsie, Lewis; Austin Miller; Amanda Miller; Josh Lewis; and Tiffany Lewis; and twelve great-grandchildren, Jordan and Jerrin Stewart; Kailee and Tanner Harting; Ayrali and Payli Blasier; Deacon and Mathias Urbanowicz; Brynlea and Ellea Frick; and Caleb and Olivia Regan.
