Eisenbraun,  Joyce, 85, wife of Edmund Eisenbraun, died Wed. Nov. 14, 2012 at her residence in Lexington, Ky.  Born Dec. 30, 1926 in Unity, Wis., she was the daughter of the late Norman  H. and Ella P. Brehm   Abrahamson.  

Mrs. Eisenbraun received her B.S. in 1948 from the University of Wisconsin where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa,  and earned  her M.D. in 1951 from the University of Wisconsin Medical School, belonging to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.  She served her internship at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison , Wis., from 1951-1952 and residency in radiology, Affiliated Hospitals, Wayne State University, Detroit, Mich., 1956-1959. She was board certified in 1962, and served in various   positions and  capacities in the states of Calif., Wis., and Okla., retiring in 1992.  She was a lifetime member of the Oklahoma State Medical Society, the American Medical Association and the American College of Radiology.  She married Edmund in 1949 and they had three daughters, one of which survives her, Ellen Beth Eisenbraun  (Michael) Fitzgerald, M.D., Versailles, Ky.  

She is also survived by two grandchildren, Erinn  Michelle  (Thomas) Carter  and Kathleen Elyse Fitzgerald; and one great granddaughter,  Hayden Carter.  

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Greta Jane Eisenbraun and Ann Jean Eisenbraun; and one brother, Robert N. Abrahamson.

 A memorial service  will be  held Saturday  Nov. 17th  at Christ United Methodist Church by  Rev. Dr. Chris Howlett.

 Burial of cremains will take place in Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater, Okla.   

 Contributions are suggested to the Habitat for Humanity, 700 E. Loudon Ave., Lexington, KY 40505 or Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, KY  40504.  Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Lexington, KY  in charge of arrangements.
