Susie Mae Heister, 85, died on Feb. 26, 2013, in Stillwater. Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater. Ron Keeling will officiate. Interment will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on July 5, 1927, to Ada Campbell in Coweta. She married Robert L. Heister Sr. on Dec. 24, 1949, in Sand Springs.
Susie loved to cook, garden, sew, and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Ada Campbell; son, Ray Gene Heister; brother, Joe Campbell; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Heister.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Heister Sr.; son, Robert L. Heister Jr.; daughter-in-law, Shelley Sawatzsky, and husband, Fred; three grandchildren, Zac Heister, Brandon Heister and wife, Emily, and Mandy Blocker and husband, Todd. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Korben and Karson Heister.
Pallbearers are Brandon Heister, Zac Heister, Todd Blocker, Karnal Doner, Bob Tillman and Jimmy Hiner. Honorary Pallbearers are Korben Heister, Karson Heister, Earl Adkins and Kenneth Jardot.
