Frank E. Evans, 88, of Stillwater, Okla., passed away on Feb. 1 at University Village Retirement Community in Tulsa.

He was born January 4, 1924 in Oklahoma City to George and Ethel Evans.

He was married to Jewell Collins on March 9, 1951.  

He is survived by wife Jewell, son Rick and daughter-in-law Robin of Tulsa, and son Ron, of Topeka, Kan..

Grandchildren are Andy Evans and wife Jennifer of Plano, Texas, Robert Evans and wife Andee of Jenks, Okla., Bailey and Ryland Evans of Topeka, Kan.

Great grandchildren are Thomas and Caroline Evans of Plano, Texas, and Preston Evans of Jenks.

He is predeceased by brother, Billy Evans, sister, Gloria Evans, both of Holdenville, Okla., and brother, Jack Evans, of Oklahoma City.

Frank was drafted from high school for service in World War II where he was a POW.  He received the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.

After the service he graduated from Oklahoma A&M and began a lifetime career with the Farmers Home Administration.

Following his retirement he was President of the Board and manager of the Oklahoma Rural Rehabilitation Corporation.

A funeral service will be held Feb. 6th at 2:00 pm, Countryside Baptist Church, Stillwater. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Frank loved agriculture, his family, was a friend to many and will be deeply missed.
