Beckey Sue Simpson, a longtime Drumright resident, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012 at her home in Drumright.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, Aug. 31, 2012 at the Church of God in Yale.  Brother Mike Clark will officiate.  Interment will follow at Underwood Cemetery, Yale, Okla.  Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Yale, Okla.

 Beckey was born on March 9, 1956 in Dallas, Texas to the late Wesley J. and Charlotte Ann (Fleming) Cable.  She grew up and attended school in Yale.   Beckey lived in Eunice, N.M. for ten years before moving to the Yale/Drumright area.  She married Hobart D. Simpson on Feb. 20, 1998 in Bentonville, Ark.  She worked as an E.M.T. in Yale for many years, and also worked for Dr. Jeremy Cole and Dr. Sidney Williams as a nursing assistant.  She loved taking care of others.  Beckey enjoyed crocheting, fishing, and working as a nurse.  Beckey was a fan of the O.S.U. She loved spending time with her family.

 Beckey is survived by her husband Hobart D. Simpson of Drumright, sons William Thomas Savory of Drumright and Wesley Ryan Savory and wife Elizabeth of Yale, daughter Krista LaDawn Farris of Kansas City, Mo., step-son Gordon Dale Simpson and wife Kris of Yale, Brian Douglas Simpson of Yale, step-daughter Sandra Louise Mehan and husband John of Stillwater, sisters Cathy Elliott and husband Earl of Yale, Jacque Courtney and husband Lynn of Blackwell, 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her parents.
