Glendola Lois Vick

Glendola Lois Vick, 66, died on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, in Stillwater. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church with Mike Chaffin officiating. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Glendola was born on Jan. 29, 1947, in Stillwater, to Thomas and Delois Marie (Wilson) Carter. She enjoyed singing at nursing homes, designing arts and crafts and helping raise her grandchildren. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Watell Carter; daughter, Kesha Carter; and brothers, Thomas and David Carter.

She is survived by her three sons, Robert Lavell Carter, Alton O’dell Carter and Merrill DeJohn Carter; 11 grandchildren, Robert Carter Jr., Shaletta Bradford, Andreanna Ledford, Brandy Nicole Carter, Travell Carter, JJ Carter, Nea Shebba Carter, Shakeem Carter, Kentell Carter, Kelton Carter and Colin Carter; four great-grandchildren, Areanna Ledford, Keke Carter, Sisi Carter and LaTonya Mia Carter; two brothers, William and Michael Carter; and one sister, Faye Coleman.
