Margaret Lucille Wehr passed away Friday, March 8, 2013 in Stillwater. Her graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fairlawn cemetery in Stillwater. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Margaret was born Sept. 10, 1913, to John Moore and Emma (Swanson) Moore in Noble County. She married Carl Wehr on Sept. 18, 1937, and were together for nearly 74 years until his passing in 2011. They loved to waltz and square dance and spent much of their retirement visiting family. She operated a family dairy farm for 20 years with Carl.

Margaret was a second mom to many. She worked hard, never complained, always had a smile and loved us all. Through hardships and disappointments, her faith and her stamina were never ending, a constant example of what you can achieve with each. She will be missed greatly, loved eternally and remembered forever.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma Moore; husband, Carl; son Dale; infant daughter Diana; and two infant grandsons, one infant great- grandson, and one infant great-great- granddaughter.

Left to cherish many happy memories are sons: Dean and Linda Wehr, Blum, Texas; David and Thelma Wehr, Ponca City; daughters: Dorothy and Deskin Balch, Norman; Donna and Charles Cook, Stillwater; Delpha and Jerry Whitefield, Ripley; Darla and Bob Kirkwood, Ripley and daughter -in- law Donna Bridge Wehr of Ripley. She also leaves 21 grandkids, 42 great-grandkids, 12 great-great-grandkids as well as numerous relatives, countless friends and several devoted caregivers at Westhaven.

Memorial contributions may be made to Judith Karman Hospice, P.O. Box 818, Stillwater, OK 74076 or to the Activity Fund at Westhaven Nursing Home, 1215 S. Western Rd. Stillwater, OK 74074.
