Ellen ‘Truda’ Claudette Lincoln

— Ellen “Truda” Claudette Lincoln, 74, passed away on on Aug. 30, 2013, in Oklahoma City. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Iowa Tribal Cemetery in Perkins with Pastor Larry Eslinger officiating. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Ellen was born in Big Lake, Texas, on July 14, 1939, to Claud R. and Maurine Chambers. She went to school in McCamey, Texas. On April 17, 1959, she married, Charles W. Lincoln. They lived many years in McCamey before moving to Perkins. She loved watching her kids and grandkids play sports.

Ellen is preceded in death by her grandparents, Tom and Kate Chambers and James and Pearl Schooler; parents, Claud and Maurine Chambers; a son at birth, daughter, Katie Lincoln; and grandson, Robby Fowble.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Lincoln of Perkins; daughters, Billie Lincoln-Mauldin and husband, Lee of Perkins, and Renee Lincoln and friend, Mike Barrett of Perkins; grandchildren, Charles Lincoln, William Lincoln, Abe, Haylee, Hattie, Zach and Sadie of Perkins; grandchildren, Sandy, Summer, Brian, Dylan, and Lindsey of Perry; sister, Naomi ‘Red’ and husband, Archie Crossland of Brownwood, Texas; uncle, Benny Schooler of Texas; nieces and nephews, Ellen, Audrey, Penny, and Archie of Texas; great-nieces and -nephew, James, Jessica, Tara, and Bridget; and great, great-nephew Joseph, also of Texas.
