William Frank Eichor, 89 of Stillwater, formerly of Ponca City, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013.
He was born to the late Marie and Marion Eichor on Aug. 27, 1924, in Rocky.
Bill graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City and in March 1943 served honorably in the United States Marine Corps until February 1946.
Following the war, he attended Oklahoma State University where he received a bachelor’s degreee in accounting.
He married the late Dorothy Nell Walker in 1946 and lived in Ponca City and Newkirk until 1999.
Bill was an accountant for Continental Oil Company until purchasing Newkirk Nursing Center in 1972.
He was also an avid golfer.
Following retirement from the nursing center, Bill and Dorothy joined a group of investors to create the American National Bank.
Bill was an active member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge 123.
Bill was a passionate supporter of Oklahoma State University and could be often seen at sporting events rooting on his beloved Cowboys.
Bill is survived by his wife Janelle and two children, Susan Scharf from Gaithersburg, Md., and Cynthia Goldberg of New York City, N.Y.; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7 at the First Baptist Church in Ponca City.
