Phyllis Jean (Banzet) Flood, 61, died on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, in Stillwater. A visitation will be held at Strode Funeral Home from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday. Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at LifeChurch in Stillwater with Pastor Joel Wilkie officiating. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
On May 7, 1952, Phyllis was born to Clarence Alfred and Martha Lee (Haymes) Banzet in Coffeyville, Kan. She attended the Hillcrest Medical School of Nursing and became a registered nurse. She was a member of the LifeChurch in Stillwater.
She is preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her mother, Martha Banzet, of Coffeyville, Kan.; son, John William Flood, of Stillwater; brother, Richard Lee Banzet, of South Coffeyville, Kan.; sister, Shirley Ann Gowen, of Coffeyville, Kan.; boyfriend, Gary Lee Goldsberry, of Stillwater; niece, Robin Marie Gowen, of Tulsa.; niece, Julie Michelle Gowen, of Coffeyville, Kan.; nephew, Anthony Banzet, of Independence, Kan.; niece, Kimberly Banzet, of Independence, Kan.; nieces, Michelle Ross and Samantha Davis.
