Michell Marie (Alexander) Anastasia

Michell Marie (Alexander) Anastasia, 49, of Perkins went to be with the Lord on Jan. 10, 2013.  Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater and will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at 4:00pm at the Greater Vision Church in Perkins with Pastor Rick Alexander officiating.

Michell Marie Stapleton was born on May 28, 1963 in Sioux Falls, SD to John R. and Sharon Ann (Ball) Stapleton.  She grew up and attended school in Colorado Springs, Colo. Following her schooling, Michell got married and had two beautiful children, Jesse and Misty.  In the early 1980’s, Michell and the kids relocated to Payne County, Okla., and Michell began a long career of caring for the elderly as a cook at Renaissance and Grace Living Center in Stillwater.  She enjoyed her job and she was loved by her co-workers. She was often referred to as “The Source,” because she always had an answer for any question.

Michell was ornery, strong willed, and could best be described as a firecracker.  She was an easy going and happy go lucky woman who loved to make others smile.  She loved watching Denver Broncos football games, but was never happier than when she was spending time with her grandchildren, especially her granddaughter and sidekick, Rainey.  Michell packed more life into 49 years than most people experience in 100 years.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Michell is survived by her parents: John and Sharon Stapleton of Colorado Springs, Colo. Her two children:  Misty Knight (John) of Perkins, Okla., and Jesse (Christy) Alexander of Perkins, Okla.,  Two Brothers:  Ryan (Suzie) Stapleton of Lake Havasu, Ariz., and Scott Stapleton of Colorado Springs, Colo.  Six grandchildren:  Rainey Knight, John M. Knight, Austin Alexander, Dylon Alexander,  Mason Alexander and Suzy Q. Alexander.  She is also survived by best friend and sister-in-law Gina Griffin and close friend Loyed Alexander.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donation be made to Grace Living Center at 1215 W. 10th Ave.  Stillwater, OK 74074.  Condolences may be sent to the family via an online guestbook at www.pmcfh.com  or on facebook at www.facebook.com/pmcfh.
