Timothy Martin Gambill

Timothy Martin Gambill, 49, died on Wednesday in Stillwater.  Tim was called from this Earth to be with his heavenly Father much too soon for those he left behind.  His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crosspointe Church. Interment will follow at the Glencoe South Cemetery.  Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Tim was born on May 22, 1963, in Everett, Wash., to Jack M. Gambill and Velda A. (Nelson-Gambill) Maner.  He graduated from Coyle High School, and later attended vo-tech to train as a lineman.  He worked as a truck driver most of his life. He enjoyed being on the road, but loved coming home to be with his family.  An avid OSU fan, he volunteered to help at many of their ballgames.  He was also active in his church, and served on the Crosspointe church board. Tim enjoyed fishing and boating, but he especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Tim was always a fighter. He lived through a difficult birth and through being hit by a car as a young child, proving his determination to battle for life.  Although he lost his fight with lung cancer far too soon, his spirit and strength will always be remembered by those who loved him.  He was a simple, laid back man who was always more concerned and worried about others rather than himself, and he will be dearly missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Ester Nelson and Harry and Erma Gambill; parents, Jack and Velva Gambill; two sons, Jeremy and John Duncan; granddaughter, Halie Hall; niece, Mary Gambill; and cousin, Richard Knowles.

He is survived by his wife, Janey Marie (Duncan) Gambill; three sons:  Kevin, Dylan, and Blake Gambill; three daughters: Tiffany Calhoon, Megan Baker, and Julie Hall; four grandchildren:  Tate Bundy, Sydnie Hall, and Jeremy and Andrew Calhoon; two brothers: Mark Gambill and his wife Heidi and Jim Gambill, and his wife Linda; and two sisters:  Ann Patterson and her husband Perry, and Paula McKee and her husband Gene.

Memorial contributions may be made in Tim’s name to the Family Memorial Fund c/o Strode Funeral Home at PO Box 487, Stillwater, OK 74076.
